I’m not sure how to start with this car, for starters its a Twingo, I’ve never considered a Twingo a modder’s car, in fact I’ve never really considered the Twingo at all. But this Twingo is not your standard Twingo, that’s pretty clear to see. This Twingo is a Sport Gordini Twingo and it’s the brother to our earlier featured mk1 RS of Adams. As you can see there are a few things that these brothers have in common, a love of beautiful bagged modified cars for one.
So like Adams RS this is beautifully bagged on a Airlift setup, with a performance 3P management system, 2 Viair 444cc compressors and custom airlift performance struts & bags. Which looks so slick sitting on custom machined (from Et30-Et35) 17″ Fifteen 52 Tarmac’s which are some nice looking rims on any one’s ride. With such nice shoes on, does the rest of the car stand up? Judge for yourself of course but yea I think it does.
This ride is smooth, its been de-striped, the front bumper has been debadged and smoothed with a Focus RS front splitter, possibly taken from his bro, I’m guessing, the tailgate has been smoothed, with a carbon rear wiper delete and some carbon front wiper covers and fog surrounds to even it up a bit, which is a nice. Another nice touch are the resprayed Audi Daytona grey pearl fog surrounds and wing mirrors up front. At the rear there’s a lovely looking Cam Race diffuser which grounds the Renault Sport Cup Spoiler nicely.
Onto the interior, which is plush, it looks smart, it looks comfy, you can’t go wrong with Recarco’s, these Recaro CS’s have been retrimmed with black leather and blue stitch with Alcantara backs. The door cards and door mats have all been retrimmed to match. Even the steering wheel has been retrimmed with carbon at the top. Like Adam it would appear Josh has a thing for flocking, well don’t we all, so he’s flocked his centre console, gear surround, his A B C pillars, door surrounds, fascia, interior mirror and yes door cards. Throw in a retrimmed headliner and a stunning show spec boot build, which shows off and lights up his compressors, colour coded tank and Rockford 10″ sub and you have a pretty impressive interior. But you gotta have nice sounds to listen to your tunes with and with In-Phase amp, rear speakers, mids and tweets all running off a Kenwood head unit its bound to sound nice in there.
Finally the bay has pretty much been left untouched, other than a good detailing, the addition of a Pro Bolt anodized bolt set and the obligatory K&N filter. You can see why this ride was part of the Players 2017 top 10 showcase, its opened my eyes to the Twingo’s potential but I doubt that I’d ever cross over to Renault if I sold my Fords.
Thanks Josh for the info, pics and congrats on slick car. More pics on Josh’s instagram @joshd145, go have a follow…
